Eliminated the carbon tax, reducing the cost of gas by an average of 18 cents per litre;
Introduce a one-percent reduction at the lowest income tax bracket;
Cancel proposed tax hike to capital gains inclusion rate;
Provide grants of up to $8,000 for skilled trade apprenticeships to create more opportunities for Canadians to join growing and in-demand industries;
Double funding for the Union Training and Innovation Program to $50 million annually;
Create a new $20-million capital funding stream for colleges to support develop new training spaces for apprenticeships;
Expand the Labour Mobility Tax Deduction for workers who travel in excess of 120 kilometres from their home to a job site;
Ease access to employment insurance by increasing regional unemployment rate percentages, temporarily waive the one-week waiting period, and suspend rules that prevent people with severance packages from collecting employment insurance for six months;
Eliminated the Goods and Services Tax (GST) for first-time homebuyers on homes at or under $1 million, creating a savings of up to $50,000;
Protect retirement savings by reducing minimum withdrawal amounts from Registered Retirement Income Fund (RRIF) by 25 per cent for one year; and,
Increase Guaranteed Income Supplement by five per cent for one year, providing up to $652, tax-free, to low-income seniors.
U.S. Relations & Tariffs
Matched 25 per cent tariffs on all U.S.-imported vehicles that are not compliant with CUSMA;
Negotiate bilateral agreements with the United States immediately following the election;
Implement a $2-billion Strategic Response Fund to boost, protect, and support our auto sector and its workers through a fortified Canadian supply chain and skill upgrades;
Build an “All-in-Canada” network for auto manufacturing component parts to build more car parts in Canada, limit those parts from crossing the border during production, and attract investment into our industry;
Maximize Canada’s Steel, Aluminium, and Critical Minerals from exploration to battery production, creating higher-paying jobs and a stronger economy; and,
Leverage government funding to prioritize and procure Canadian-built vehicles to catalyze domestic investment in the Canadian auto industry.
Health Care
Have expanded Canadian Dental Care Plan eligibility to Canadian residents between 18 and 64 years of age; and,
Announced $52 million in funding for 16 projects across Canada through the Foreign Credential Recognition Program to allow internationally-trained professionals find employment in the healthcare industry, as well as construction.
Housing
Create Build Canada Homes (BCH) to bring the federal government back into the business of home building by acting as a developer to build affordable housing, providing over $25 billion in financing to innovative prefabricated home builders in Canada, including those employing Canadian resources and technologies, such as mass timber and softwood lumber, as well as $10 billion in low-cost financing and capital to affordable home builders;
Reduce municipal development charges by 50 per cent for multi-unit residential housing, reintroducing tax incentives, facilitate the conversion of existing structures into affordable housing units, and building on the success of the Housing Accelerator Fund to further reduce zoning restrictions and housing bureaucracy; and,
Invest over $70 million to speed up housing development and support the demand for affordable housing, and inject $66 million to build, renovate, and repair hundreds of homes across Nunavut.
Agriculture
Permanently implement the doubling of revenue protection for farmers under the AgriStability Program to $6 million per farm, in the event of significant revenue losses due to tariffs, extreme weather events, and other external factors;
Increase domestic processing capacity, including in rural and remote areas, through a new $200-million Domestic Food Processing Fund;
Invest $30 million in the ArgiMarketing Program to help farmers, ranchers, and producers access new markets for their products;
Add an additional $30 million to the Agriculture Clean Technology Program; and,
Strengthen the Canadian Agricultural Loans Act program by doubling loan guarantee limit to $1 million and expand terms by five to 10 years
Climate Change & Energy
Reinstate the zero-emissions vehicle subsidy program;
Phasing out of fossil fuels in government buildings by 2030;
Invest $94 million to upgrade power plants in Cambridge Bay, Gjoa Haven, Igloolik, and Iqaluit, and $20 million to help the Nunavut Nukkiksautiit Corporation complete the first phase of its hydroelectricity facility;
Tighten the output-based pricing system for large industrial emitters to ensure carbon markets work properly;
Develop carbon border adjustment mechanism to tax imports from countries with no comparable carbon pricing;
Open to speeding up energy projects and building pipelines while allowing Quebec to veto any pipeline within its territory;
Create 10 new national parks and marine conservation area, and 15 new urban parks, and provide free access to National Parks and Historic Sites this summer;
Strengthen Indigenous stewardship through the establishment of a new Arctic Indigenous Guardians Program and funding Indigenous-led conservation projects, while also preserving First Nation’s right to water into law; and,
Invest $100 million in a strategic water security technology fund to protect freshwater resources.
Defence
Increase NATO defence spending to two per cent of national GDP by 2030;
Partner with allies on next generation of aircraft and review contract for U.S.-built F-35 fighter jets;
Invest $420 million to protect Arctic sovereignty;
Expand the capabilities of the Navy with new submarines and additional heavy icebreakers to defend the North;
Fully commit to all orders underway through the National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS) where 21,400 jobs across the country and thousands of jobs for Irving Shipbuilding have been supported by the Strategy through the construction of 8 Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ships and 15 River Class Destroyers.
Work with Canada’s shipyards to ensure capabilities are maximized and use of Canadian steel and aluminum;
Expand reach and abilities of Canadian Cost Guard and integrate into NATO defence capabilities; and,
Fill CAF’s member shortage by modernizing the recruitment process, giving all members a well-deserved base, building new on-base housing, and improving access to doctors, childcare, and mental health services.
Immigration
Maintain limits on immigration until country has the capacity to accept more newcomers.
Infrastructure
Invest $5 billion into Trade Diversification Corridor Fund to create infrastructure that will accelerate nation-building projects, diversify our trade partners, create employment opportunities, and drive economic growth;
Authorize Canadian ports to cooperate instead of compete, maximizing efficiencies through leveraging of comparative advantages; and,
Strengthen the security of our ports to stop the flow of drugs, illegal firearms, and stolen autos.
